Union Rules

Law
The 1994 Education Act is the main piece of legislation governing the conduct of students' unions. The Union is also affected by the law relating to exempt charities. The Union's Subsiduary Companies are regulated by Company Law and Licensing Laws. The Union is not normally regarded as a public authority and therefore the most provision of the Human Rights Act and the Freedom of Information Act do not apply to the Union.
